What is OEM?

An OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) is a company that builds a product that it sells under its own company name and brand.

What is a compatible cartridge?

Compatible simply means that though the product is not necessarily original, it will still function the same as the original.  Compatible cartridges may contain 100% new components or new and remanufactured components.

What is a remanufactured cartridge?

A remanufactured cartridge is a cartridge that has been manufactured from new and recycled components.  It has been built to OEM specifications.  Many OEM cartridges actually contain recycled materials.  It even states this on their packaging.

Do compatible or remanufactured cartridges last as long as OEMs?

All Liberty Laser Cartridges are built to OEM specifications.  They are guaranteed to perform as well as the original.

Will a remanufactured cartridge void my machine’s warranty?

No!  Your manufacturer cannot void your machine’s warranty for using cartridges other than OEMs.  However, if you have a service contract with a specific vendor, it may state that you have to use their specific cartridges.

What is a virgin cartridge?

It is a used cartridge that has been run through one original cycle.

Can I recycle my empty cartridges and help to save our environment?

Yes!  By recycling toner cartridges you can eliminate approximately 3 pounds of waste from entering landfills per toner cartridge.  At the same time, this environmentally and socially responsible act of recycling can help reduce the cost of future toner purchases.  Liberty will customize a recycling program that works for you and your customer(s).

What happens if my cartridge does not work?

Liberty has a less than 1% defective rate.  However, defects are inevitable, even OEMs can fail, but it is how we promptly handle the defect that sets us apart.  Please give us a call at  8 0 0 – 5 7 0 – 1 9 8 7 to be issued an immediate Return Authorization Number (RA#) and an ARS label for return shipment.

Does a compatible cartridge achieve the same page yield as an OEM?

Liberty cartridges are manufactured to OEM specifications.  We stand behind our cartridges.  Some Liberty cartridges actually outperform the OEM original page yield and print density.
